Real vehicles, real Kelowna jobs

Headlight restoration on a Kelowna daily driver: oxidized, yellowed lenses brought back to clear. Correction first, protection second is the same approach every ceramic coating gets. Your paint is decontaminated and corrected before a single drop of coating goes on, so what gets locked in is the finish you actually want.
Ty walks around a customer's brand new Dodge Ram Rebel straight after its ceramic coating: UV protection, hydrophobic finish, swirl resistance and the flake pop that comes with corrected paint. Tap to play, sound on.
Every package starts the same way: a full wash and paint decontamination, then correction matched to the tier, then the coating. Moving from Bronze up to Lifetime buys more correction and more years of protection. Prices are for cars, SUVs and trucks; vans, commercial vehicles and heavily damaged paint are quoted individually.
| Package | Protection | Paint prep included | Best for | Cars | SUVs | Trucks |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | Entry-level protection | Full paint decontamination + single-stage enhancement polish | Daily drivers wanting affordable yet effective protection | $499 | $599 | $650 |
| Silver | Advanced protection | Full paint decontamination + single-stage paint correction | Vehicle owners who want durable, medium-term protection with a lasting showroom shine | $1,050 | $1,200 | $1,400 |
| Gold | 5-year ceramic coating | Full decontamination + multi-stage paint correction | Enthusiasts and professionals who want their car to look flawless year after year | $1,500 | $1,700 | $1,900 |
| Platinum | 7+ year ceramic coating | Full decontamination + extensive multi-stage paint correction | Luxury, exotic, and performance vehicle owners, or anyone who wants the absolute best in paint protection | $1,800 | $2,000 | $2,200 |
| Lifetime | Lifetime ceramic coating | Our most extensive multi-stage paint correction | Owners who want to coat once and be done with it | $2,800 | SUVs and trucks quoted | |
Not sure which one fits? Send us the year, make and model and a couple of photos through the free quote form and we will recommend a package before you commit to anything. If your paint needs more correction than the package includes, we tell you before the work starts, never after.
A coating is only as good as the surface underneath it, which is why the job takes two to three days in our shop rather than an afternoon. Here is what happens to your vehicle at 10-1691 Powick Road.

We look at the paint under proper lighting, note swirls, scratches, water spots and oxidation, confirm vehicle size, and agree on the package and price before anything is touched.
Two-bucket hand wash, then chemical and clay bar decontamination to pull embedded iron, tar, sap and industrial fallout out of the clear coat so the surface is truly clean.
Single-stage enhancement polishing on Bronze, single-stage correction on Silver, and multi-stage correction on Gold and Platinum. Wet sanding and paint leveling are available for deeper defects and show-car results.
Every panel is wiped down to remove polishing oils, then the ceramic coating is applied and levelled by hand, panel by panel, so it bonds directly to the corrected clear coat.
The coating cures in the shop before pickup. You leave with written aftercare instructions and the option of a maintenance wash schedule to keep it performing.
Kelowna drivers ask us this every week, so here is the straight comparison. The short version: wax is a short-term shine, ceramic coating is years of gloss and easy washing, and paint protection film is the only thing that stops rock chips. The best-protected vehicles in the Okanagan usually run PPF on the front end with ceramic coating over everything.
| Wax or sealant | Ceramic coating | Paint protection film (PPF) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| How long it lasts | Weeks to a few months | Years. Gold is a 5-year coating, Platinum is 7+ years, and our Lifetime package is our longest-lasting coating | Years, as a physical film |
| Rock chips and gravel | No protection | No. Coatings resist swirls and chemical etching, not impacts | Yes, absorbs impacts from Highway 97 gravel and road debris |
| Gloss and water beading | Good for a few weeks | Deep, mirror-like gloss with strong hydrophobic beading | Clear film, can be ceramic coated on top for beading |
| UV, bird droppings, sap, salt | Minimal | Strong chemical and UV resistance | Strong, and self-healing on light scratches |
| Washing afterwards | Same as bare paint | Much easier. Dirt releases with a pH-neutral hand wash | Easy, hand wash recommended |
| Typical cost at Kelowna Details | Included in exterior details | From $499 (Bronze, cars) to $2,800 (Lifetime) | Partial front end from $999 |
Kelowna is a great place to own a nice vehicle and a tough place to keep its paint perfect.
Months of intense UV that fades and oxidizes unprotected clear coat.
Highway 97 and the Coquihalla are treated all winter, and the gravel comes with it.
Spring pollen and summer bugs etch into paint if they sit for days.
Park under a tree in Glenmore, the Mission or Rutland and you know what August does to a hood.
Rural roads out toward Lake Country and Peachland coat everything, and brush washes turn it into swirls.
A ceramic coating does not make a vehicle bulletproof, but it changes the equation. UV, salt, sap and bug residue sit on the coating instead of etching into the paint, water and dirt release with a gentle hand wash, and the corrected gloss underneath stays locked in. That is why so many customers from Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland and Vernon book a coating right after buying a new vehicle, and why dealerships trust us with their inventory.

Kelowna Details is rated 5.0 on Google with more than 300 reviews. These are a few from customers who had their vehicles coated with us.
Had my Acura RDX ceramic coated at Kelowna Details, and the results exceeded my expectations. The finish is incredibly glossy, the paint looks amazing, and the attention to detail was outstanding.
The dealership tried to upsell paint protection and the cost was astronomical. After speaking with Ty at Kelowna Details we were very confident that he could perform the same high quality paint protection (ceramic coating) at a fraction of the price. The results were amazing!
When I got my truck back after the detail and ceramic coating, it honestly looked better than when I first drove it off the lot.
Paint, finish, ceramic, everything just looks amazing. Highly recommend Ty if you want it done right!

We coat daily drivers, family SUVs, lifted trucks, minivans and work vehicles. New vehicles are the ideal candidate: the paint only needs decontamination and a light enhancement polish, and our packages cost a fraction of the paint protection add-ons dealerships offer at signing. For companies, our dealership and fleet program handles volume detailing, correction and coating so inventory and work trucks look sharp year round. Pair a coating with window tinting and 3M paint protection film and the vehicle is protected inside and out.
Coatings are applied at our Kelowna shop where the prep and curing can be controlled. Mobile options are available at extra cost for some services, and we serve customers from across the Central Okanagan. Call or text 236-338-4442 with any questions.
